Chabelita is a 6-year-old girl who was abandoned as a baby at the doorstep of an orphanage.
Tricked by her schoolmates, one day Chabelita ventures out into the cold and threatening world in search of the man she believes
to be her father. After countless adventures, her determination and willpower lead her to a kind and honest man whom she believes
to be her father. Jesus Garcia takes the little girl in and begins to care for her as if she were his own. However, little
does Jesus know, Chabelita is the daughter of a woman forced by her father to give her up for adoption. Now that Maria Fernanda
decides to search for her daughter, Jesus stands to lose the girl he now considers to be family. A chance encounter brings
Maria Fernanda into the lives of Chabelita and Jesus. Circumstances eventually lead her to gain custody of Chabelita, much
to the dismay of Jesus. However, the attraction that Maria Fernanda and Jesus first tried to ignore grows, leading them into
one another’s arms. Now, Chabelita has the family and the home that she has always dreamed of.
